Recently i was listening to Bash It and Dream Dentistiry quite a bit. Lyrically i feel both of these albums are bit better than some of the newer stuff although the production was obviously a bit more unpolished. I was away for a long time so havent had that much exposure to most of Lodeck's newer material. Have them lyrics dropped a bit or am I just not listening to the right shit. Im yet to hear Behold and am buying it this week so im hoping its in the similar vein to the EP and Dream Dentistry, do any of the other projects have a similar feel?

the simple truth is that lodeck doesn't quite sound the same as he did in those days.
it's all in the eyes of the beholder: personally I find the new shit more polished, and a lot more focused. but in the ever-pleasant realm of hiphop, some would probably take direct offence to something like that. (see: virtuoso, memphis reigns etc.) - change is a dangerous thing to some fanbases.
I still think he's lyrically onpoint as ever though.
Hell.. hold up some of the new Jak shit to that old-ass Asylum Planet stuff.. same phenomenon.
"Behold" is somewhat similar to Bash It.. think Bash It through a kaleidoscope while on Acid.

Word im going to check that out that. I found the newer production certainly more polished though. Even the difference from Bash it to Dream Dentistry was visible. Lyrically I always held lodeck in real high regard so i am looking forward to hearing Behold. Thanks for the heads up
